Ukrainian Community in Baku Organized Unique Festival
On May 4, the second festival-fair of Azerbaijani-Ukrainian culture "Vesnyanka" took place in Baku. The event was attended by many distinguished guests: diplomats, media persons, public figures. Thus, the guests expressed their support for the idea underlying the event, as well as for its organizers - the Union of Ukrainian Women in Azerbaijan and the Muna Fest event agency.
"Our festival-fair is about the consolidation of Ukrainians and Azerbaijanis. It was expressed in everything: from the organization of the event to the joint holding and celebration. This is about our solidarity, friendship, mutual support. This is about our spring traditions, including Easter traditions, which are very welcome in Azerbaijan," said Lydia Shestak-Aliyeva, head of UUWA.
For the second year in a row, the event is symbolically held under the slogan "From the origins to the present - from Nowruz to Easter."
The main highlight of the holiday was a concert in Ukrainian and Azerbaijani languages, which lasted throughout the day. One of the blocks of the concert was dedicated to the children of Ukraine, who represent Azerbaijan in sports and creativity.
As part of the festival, the Easter Charity Market was held, the purpose of which was to raise funds through the creation of handmade works and craft products by Ukrainian and Azerbaijani craftsmen.
During the event, various art workshops were held for the guests, and the location of the food court, organized in partnership with the Ukrainian restaurant Solokha, was presented.
