On July 15, 2023, Ukrainians in Canberra and Hobart gathered together to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the tragic MH17 disaster.
The rallies, organized by the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations, were covered by SBS News, Nine.com.au, Channel 10, WIN News Canberra, 2GB Sydney and 2CC. Some activists came from other cities to join the actions.
The co-chair of the organization, Kateryna Argyru, emphasized the need to remember this crime and honor the memory of the victims, reminding that Russia continues to kill civilians.
