Ukrainians in the USA joined the memorial service
On November 22, Ukrainians in the United States participated in a series of events commemorating the victims of the Holodomor-genocide in Ukraine in 1932-1933.
In particular, the Ukrainian community, employees of the Embassy, together with the Chief Deputy Assistant to the US Secretary of State, Derek Hogan, lit candles and laid memorial bundles at the Holodomor-Genocide Memorial in Washington. "Special thanks to Andrea Halup, screenwriter of the famous film "Mr. Jones", for the opportunity to present the facts about the Holodomor-genocide in Ukraine to a foreign audience with the help of cinematography.
And also Ukraine House for a separate event with the screening of the film "Mr. Jones", - it is noted on the website of the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA.
In addition, on the initiative of the diplomatic mission and the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation, a webinar "Memory of the Holodomor: issues of the rule of law and democracy" was held (“Holodomor Awareness and Remembrance: Component of the Democracy and Rule of Law”).
