The Month of Ukrainian Culture began in Hungary - a series of various events within the framework of the 92nd Szeged Book Fair. They will take place from August 30 to September 23, 2021.
Organizers - Self-Government of Ukrainians in Szeged, Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary, Cultural Society of Ukrainians of Chongrad-Chonad Region and Honorary Consul General of Ukraine in Szeged.
The first event was an exhibition of paintings by Petrykivka and Ukrainian Vyshyvanka, reports the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary. It exhibits paintings by artists Halyna Nazarenko and Olena Yarmolyuk, photographs of folk costumes from different regions of Ukraine, as well as embroidered cloths and towels from the own collection of the Cultural Society of Ukrainians of the Chongrad-Chonad region.
As part of the Month of Ukrainian Culture, the exhibition "Yaroslav the Wise - diplomacy through dynastic marriages" will also be presented, a round table "Women of Ukraine" will be held, a concert of Ukrainian folk songs and dances performed by famous Ukrainian performers from Hungary will be held, a gastronomic tasting and presentations of books by Ukrainian authors will be organized.
