On February 26, 2023, the Central Association of Ukrainians in Germany organized a literary evening dedicated to Lesya Ukrainka. As on February 25, Ukrainians marked the 152nd anniversary of her birth.
Participants of the event had the opportunity to listen to Lesya Ukrainka's poetry and songs based on her poems. Children from the "Bedryk" children's center improvised a fairy tale "Three Butterflies".
Lesya Ukrainka is known for her translations of Heinrich Heine's works into Ukrainian. His poem "Ruckwarts" in German was also performed during the event.
