In the city of Amman (Jordan) on March 17, 2023, organization "Ukrainian House in Jordan" held the literary event, dedicated to the 209th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko's birthday.
A large Ukrainian community and representatives of the Ukrainian embassy visited the event.
The participants read poems by Taras Shevchenko, sang songs based on his works and prepared a small performance. The children of the center staged humorous cartoons by Pavlo Glazovy.
Since the mother was an important image in Shevchenko's work, the children read sensitive poems about mothers and performed the song "Mother's Tale". They also received special diplomas for their active participation in community life.
