On the occasion of the anniversary of Taras Shevchenko's birthday, activists of "Ukrainian Center" (Vilnius) organized "Creative Forces of Ukraine" gala concert, which brought together Ukrainian talents from all over Lithuania.
"The event united not only participants from different Lithuanian cities, but also creative representatives of various fields of art. All them received valuable gifts from patrons and partners of the "Ukrainian Center" for the vivid representation of Ukrainian culture," the Embassy of Ukraine in Lithuania informs.
During the event, the awarding ceremony of "Zapekli" literary competition for teenage prose and poetry was also held. The winner of the competition became Bohdan Yakovenko from Lviv.
The First Lady of Lithuania congratulated the winner of the contest and also announced the continuation of the "Books without Borders" project in Lithuania.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Petro Beshta also attended the event. The performances were evaluated by a professinal jury.
After the event, all children received a valuable gift - a Ukrainian book.
