Ukrainians Treated Visitors of Christmas Fair in Brussels with National Dishes
The Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium together with the Ukrainian community presented the stand of Ukrainian traditional cuisine at the festival "Schuman Lights Up", where Poland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Wales, Spain, and Bulgaria also presented their traditional dishes.
"Ukrainian borsch and garlic donuts, dumplings, stuffed cabbage rolls, pancakes, Lviv syrnyk, cookies, sandwiches with bacon and herring, porcini mushrooms, homemade sausages. But that's not all! There is an active Crimean Tatar community in Belgium, which has prepared many delicacies for foreign friends: samsa, honey baklava, pies, etc. After all, #CrimeaIsUkraine and everyone had the opportunity to see how rich Ukrainian cuisine is", the Embassy's page informs.
The Whisky.be organized a special auction for the sale of a unique bottle of strong drink, which was made to support Ukraine. During the event CAMERATA BRIMA FOLK performed Ukrainian Christmas carols for foreign guests.
