Ukrainian activists from different countries join the Christmas campaign
As part of the "Holiday without Dad" campaign, Ukrainian volunteers in different countries of the world are collecting funds for gifts for the children of Ukrainian soldiers who died or were injured in Donbas.
Victoria Batryn, co-organizer of the campaign and co-founder of the Uniters (United Volunteers) foundation, noted that almost four thousand children from different parts of Ukraine will receive gifts this year.
As reported by Ukrinform, the action was initiated by Ukrainians in Poland, and also communities in other countries: Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Latvia, Australia. Cooperation with the European Congress of Ukrainians, the Polish employment company EWL Group and the oil and gas company PKN Orlen was also organized this year.
Due to the pandemic, the format of the campaign was changed: volunteers collect funds all over the world and transfer them to Ukraine. In Ukraine, about 200 volunteers buy everything necessary for gifts, pack them and hand them to children. This year's gifts include sweets, a super elf hat, a gift card and the book "The Painted History of Ukraine's Independence" by the Kapranov brothers.
To collect funds on Facebook, volunteers hold auctions with different lots: books, paintings, works of artists, sports equipment of famous Ukrainian personalities. To date, only 11% of the minimum amount of PLN 200,000 (approximately UAH 1.4 million) has been collected.
Therefore, we encourage everyone to join this campaign and give children a miracle for the holidays: https://www.swietabeztaty.pl/ua
