A Ukrainian column joined the parade for the first time to celebrate the Independence Day of the USA.
Representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine, the band "Karpatiya", activists of the organizations United Help Ukraine, US Ukrainian Activists, Ukrainian American Veterans, plastuns, students of the Taras Shevchenko School of Ukrainian Studies in Washington passed through the center of the US capital.
"We sincerely congratulate our American friends and allies on the main national holiday and express our best wishes and sincere gratitude to the Ukrainian people for all their help and solidarity with Ukraine," the embassy said.
In a comment to Ukrinform, the president of the United Help Ukraine organization, Maryna Baidyuk, emphasized that the main message of the Ukrainian column is gratitude to the Americans for the support they have provided, especially in recent months. According to her, although Ukraine joined the parade in Washington for the first time this year, it will definitely not be the last time.
