Ukrainians in Shanghai Organized a Charity Event
The Ukrainian community in Shanghai organized a charity event in support of Ukrainian citizens affected by russian war. The event took place with the assistance of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Shanghai, reports Ukrinform.
More than 100 people, including Ukrainians and a group of Chinese students, attended the event.
The participants had the opportunity to open for themselves Ukrainian culture, national cuisine and traditions through participating in master classes and thematic quizzes. In particular, Zoya Gedz from Plast Ukrainian scout organization conducted a workshop on creating Ukrainian Easter eggs - pysankas. Ukrainians and Chinese wrote Easter eggs, talked about the history and traditions of pysankas, colors, symbols and their meanings.
The collected funds will be transferred to one of the Ukrainian charitable organizations that provide humanitarian assistance to the victims of war.
