On November 18, 2022, the "Ukrainian Bookshelf" project was launched in the Central Library of Celje (the third largest city in Slovenia) under the patronage of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska. The project is implemented by the joint efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy and the Ukrainian Book Institute, the Embassy of Ukraine in Slovenia reports.
Now Ukrainian children and their parents are able to visit one of the most modern libraries in Slovenia for free and have the opportunity to read Ukrainian-language books.
The Embassy received the books from the Ukrainian book charity campaign and Bookling.ua chain of bookstores.
