More Than 300 Ukrainians Celebrated Christmas Together in Budapest
On January 7, the Ukrainian community in Budapest gathered together to celebrate Christmas. In the morning, priest Fr. Damian Gaborii conducted Christmas Liturgy in the Greek-Catholic Church of St. Michael.
After the end of the Liturgy, the "Perlynka" vocal ensemble from Uzhhorod congratulated the Ukrainian community, performing wonderful Ukrainian carols.
This year, the "Nova Khvylia" Society and the Ukrainian Church in Hungary organized the fifth Christmas Christmas caroling flash mob in Budapest "Ukraine carols - Budapest carols". Ukrainians went to Vörösmarty Square in a solemn procession, singing the most famous Ukrainian carols. The flash mob aroused great interest among the city's residents and guests of the capital.
At the end of the flashmob, the organizers treated everyone to delicious homemade pies and kutya prepared by Ukrainian housewives from the Gorlytsia Women's Club.
