On Sunday, October 30, 2022, Ukrainians and Czechs participated in a large-scale action "Czech Republic Against Fear". About 35,000 people gathered on Wenceslas Square.
The demonstration also featured a video appearance from Ukrainian first lady Olena Zelenska, who urged people to remain focused on what is happening in her country, Reuters informs.
At the end, the anthems of the Czech Republic and Ukraine were played.
According to the organizers, the rally was held against rising populism and extremism in response to pro-Russian demonstrations in the country in recent weeks.
