The Ukrainian Center Was Created in Finland

On November 1, the Ukrainian Center opened its doors in the Finnish city of Turku. During the opening ceremony, representatives of the Ukrainian community presented the future center’s activities.

Its main purpose is to intensify the cultural exchange between Finland and Ukraine and promote Ukraine in Finnish society. Workshops for children and adults, seminars and lectures for Ukrainians, and courses on studying the Ukrainian and Finnish languages are among the future events.

"Special thanks to International House Turku for their assistance and providing premises for the Ukrainian Center. The first secretary of the Ukrainian Embassy Olena Tsivinska thanked the municipality of Turku for the strong support of Ukrainians and Ukrainian projects that strengthen friendly relations between our countries," the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland and Iceland informs.
