On April 23, 2023, a charity event in support of Ukraine was held for the second time in Mitsumene Onsen, Gifu Prefecture.
"Thanks to the preparation of Yokoyama Chikako, the co-owner of the onsen, not only was a good event held, but also an opportunity was given to evacuated Ukrainians to have a good rest in a natural onsen," - says the page of the Japanese-Ukrainian Cultural Association.
The program of the event included a performance on a beautiful stage in the middle of nature, a master class in weaving, a performance by a pianist, and the sale of products made by evacuated Ukrainians.
During the event, the community managed to collect 73,889 yen, which they plan to send to help Ukraine.
