The Ukrainian diaspora joined the second National Reading Week and announced the start of the Ukrainian Reading Week, dedicated to Ukrainian children's writer Volodymyr Vakulenko.
"2022 is for Ukraine and Ukrainians is the most difficult year since the restoration of independence. One of the most tragic and painful losses for Ukrainian culture was the death of the children's writer Volodymyr Vakulenko, who was shot by the occupiers in Izyum, Kharkiv Oblast," said Ulyana Knyaginetska, publisher, author and organizer of the International Project "Children's Ukrainian Fairy Tale of the 21st Century", member of the Society of Ukrainian Culture in Hungary.
