Ukrainians in Japan participated in the autumn festival
The Ukrainian community in Japan "Krayany" joined the annual autumn festival in the Japanese city of Komae.
The city of Komae has shown great support for Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, and in the spring of 2022 organized a large festival "Feel Ukraine".
During the autumn festival, Ukrainians participed in a local parade in Ukrainian Embroidery Dress (Vyshyvanka), presented a tent with Ukrainian souvenirs and food, and introduced the Japanese to Ukrainian culture and traditions.
Special guests of the festival were Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk and Lyudmila Gridkovets, a psychologist and author of children's books.
During the parade, local residents supported Ukraine as much as possible, went out into the street and shouted wishes for victory and peace. Ukrainian souvenirs were very popular at the fair: guests knew that all proceeds from the sale would go to humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
"Another ordinary autumn day became special for many of us - Ukrainians living in Japan, as well as for local Japanese residents of the city of Komae - and will forever remain in our hearts, because it united us, united us together, strengthened our Ukrainian identity twice, showed once again that Ukrainians are not only a mighty force and greatness, but also a beauty that always wins! So let's take a step further and bring our soonest victory closer," the organization added.
